Two, I watched the first episode and didn't feel very interested or sympathetic toward Light's character. One, I have already thought deeply about the subject matter from many angles and I wasn't sure the anime would present anything new. That being said, I have avoided watching Death Note for about a year for a variety of reasons. Suspense from information as well as actionįurthermore, a "psychological" warfare with a supernatural twist involving death/murder and shinigami is a fairly original idea.
